Ministry of Sound Red Sea

Mohammed El Kasrawy is DJ Mojo, a man, like his music, that is deep, thought-provoking and fun-loving. Possibly one of Egypt’s finest and most talented house music specialists, he’s played at some the biggest and best house-music parties the country has ever seen.

The DJ bug took a firm grip back at the turn of the millennium, when Mohamed caught DJ sets from legends such as Carl Cox and BBC Radio One’s DJ Pete Tong. He now regularly rocks Red Sea crowds in Hurgada’s Ministry of Sound Beach Club and Hed Kandi Beach Bar.

Gaining experience in many local discos and bars, he quickly landed two of the biggest night-spot residencies in town; Liquid Lounge and Papas Beach Club.

The two beach-side venues were later brought out and re-launched as Ministry of Sound The Bar and Ministry of Sound The Beach, where Mojo helped launch the nightclub on New Year’s Eve 2005.

Just five years after he started out, his steady residency with the biggest name in the business, helped paved the way for his current taste in both upfront funky, tribal and progressive house…

Further developments saw MoS The Bar transformed into the world’s first Hed Kandi Beach Bar (or HKV001 to some in the know). Playing to some of the coolest VIPs around, Mojo’s beats have been heard by national film-stars, international footballers and even a UK Olympic gold-medallist.

His mesmerising sets can be heard throughout the week, dropping the more soulful stuff at Hed Kandi Beach Bar or Tuesday’s big Housexy party at Ministry of Sound. His techier side comes out at a combination of two monthly special Kandi Events; Hed Kandi LIVE / Full Moon Party, and Thursday’s Pure club-night at MoS. The freshest event at Ministry is Gorgeous, where you can also catch the Mojo sound bimonthly.
