Ministry of Sound Red Sea publishes details of their most successful year ever fresh from a record-braking New Year’s Eve.
In the last two weeks of 2007 alone, the two venues (one in Hurghada city, and parties hosted at Pacha Sharm El Sheikh) were rocked by no-less than eleven international guest DJs and artists! Name checking BBC Radio 1 hero Judge_Jules, living legend Graham Gold, old skool kings Ratpack and MTV’s R&B master Richie Don amongst them.
Paul Evans, Managing Director of Ministry of Sound Red Sea was quoted as saying: “This has been the most incredible year for us all. Not only have we broken every record we’d previously set, we’ve increased market exposure and awareness for the brand, both locally and internationally. Of course at a ground level, all our hard work pays off at every party we do!”
The start of 2008 is kicking off with scheduling some of the major parties of the year. These include three White Sensation events (April, August and October), the monthly Gorgeous (including a valentine’s special) and many more. There’s even widespread talk that the urban-heads visiting the Hurghada beach club will soon be able to enjoy either a once-a-month international guest hip-hop/R&B DJ or they’ll be treated to a guest resident for the Smoove parties held each week.
Sticking with Ministry of Sound Beach Club, a quarter of a million pound refurbishment of the VIP is planned to be completed by the summer. Expanding on the high-area behind the DJ, the team promises to transform the zone into something unlike any other VIP area the continent has ever seen.
Meanwhile, across the water in Sharm El Sheik, discussions are underway to secure an A-list superstar DJ each and every month. Raising the standards even further can only help spread the profile of the nightclubs in the region.
Out there in cyber-space, the world of the worldwide web just got even cooler. Ministry of Sound Egypt (dot com) has been given a complete makeover, or rather 2008 remix-treatment (as may be a more appropriate term). Surfers can now experience new photo-galleries, listings, news, interviews, reviews and even competitions if they’re feeling lucky.
With no signs of slowing-down, metaphorically that is, the promotion team will all receive pimped-out ‘dune buggies’ to zoom around the city in. Not just a clever PR trick but also an entertaining one. Look out Egypt, here they come!
Future dates for the diary are Smoove with Junior_J (2nd February), Gorgeous Valentine’s Special (14th February) to get you started.
