Launching on New Year’s Eve 2005, Ministry of Sound took over the former Papas Beach Club in Hurghada city alongside Papas Liquid, then refurbished as Ministry of Sound The Bar. The main venue, an inspiring 3500 capacity beach-side nightclub placed on the shores of the Red Sea, was opened by Ministry of Sound London resident Marc Hughes to incredible acclaim.

Within six months of the big opening nights in Hurghada, Ministry took over Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at the huge open-air venue of Pacha Sharm El Sheikh.

From the onset the management team went into full swing booking guest DJs like there’s no tomorrow. With a steady stream of talent knocking at the door for residencies, the selection of international superstar guest DJs have included: Marco V, Graham Gold, Brandon Block, Judge Jules, Tall Paul and old skool kings Ratpack to name but a few.

With a strong push on global marketing and investment, 2008 shows no signs of slowing down for the Ministry of Sound Red Sea crew.
